The easiest way to get there is by catching the City View Bus. The stop’s name is Kagoshima Suizokukanmae. Also, if you happen to be in Tenmonkan, you can easily walk there. It might take 10 minutes, though.
We have been to Kagoshima City Aquarium and while it is small, we still enjoyed it. There is a petting area where children can touch organisms such as sea urchins and starfish. There is also a dolphin show on the outside of the aquarium that is free to watch. However the show is even more interesting inside. It is usually crowded on weekends, but even more enjoyable because of the crowd participation.
You may also find whale sharks, bonito, stingrays, tuna and many marine life that is found in Kinko Bay.
